Some of our recent project include the following:

Harvard University - Arnold Arboretum
Weld Hill Research and Administration Building

IRG recently completed the interior architectural millwork package on this new 43,500 square foot building for the general contractor, Lee Kennedy Company. These project specification requirements called for a "green building" design to achieve LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification. The project included quarter sawn red oak materials, the casework cores were fabricated with "Sky Blend" a NAUF particleboard product, one of the components used to achieve the LEED certification. The project-included shop fabricated prefinished standing and running trim, casework, plastic laminate and epoxy countertops.

Plymouth State University
Langdon Wood Residence Hall

This "Gold" certified LEED project used recycled content products, FSC Certified maple hardwood and veneers with documented chain of custody on the products. This 114,000. square foot residence hall houses over 300 students utilizing sustainable products including, Alkemi Counters, Dark Walnut Paneling, Solid Surface and Stainless Steel counters on the fast track furnish and installed millwork package.

Private Residence - Custom Replacement Windows
New Castle, New Hampshire

Work on this 19th century oceanfront estate was quite a challenge for us to engineer and execute the installation of new custom French casement windows. Work on this project was completed during the occupancy of the owners, making sure that all interiors were protected from the elements and damage to existing finishes during the renovation. The toughest challenge was not to disturb any of the existing custom casings, cornice and paneling on the interior. We elected to install an interior enclosure on the interior and remove and replace the existing built-up five piece pine trim casing, cornice and sash assembly on multiple windows, some over twelve feet wide. All of the existing molding profiles were templated and recreated with solid mahogany trim that was shop primed and finished with one coat of paint in the shop.
